The Thing cartoon ran as part of the Fred and Barney Meet the Thing series from September of 1979 until March of 1980 for a total of 26 episodes.

Young Ben "Benjy" Grimm puts his rings together and says "Thing Ring Do Your Thing" and transforms into the Marvel comics character The Thing. With his powers he stops crime and rescues his friends from danger.
