Episode 1 - Pilot: Santa Costa dictator General Rio Dominguez has stored two nuclear warheads in a safe in the Hotel Nacionale, and the IMF?s first assignment is to remove them. Dan is a jewellery salesman, Willy carries some very heavy cases (right), Rollin disguises himself as the general and Cinnamon pushes her husband around in a wheel chair.

Episode 2 - Memory: The IMF have to remove from power Janos Karq (William Keene), a warmonger in an Iron Curtain country. Dan enlists the help of memory expert Joseph Baresh (Albert Paulsen), who pretends to be an enemy agent, code named Sparrow, seen in the screen shot being interrogated by Karq's head of intelligence Dimitri Soska (Leonard Stone)

Episode 3 - Operation Rogosh: Mass murderer Imry Rogosh (Fritz Weaver, right) is in Los Angeles. The IMF have 36 hours to discover how he intends to kill thousands of people in the city. Dan is a defence lawyer, Rollin is a public prosecutor, Cinnamon is a secretary, Barney is a radio announcer and an agitator, and Willy is a prison guard.

This script won the Mystery Writers of America?s Edgar award.
   

Episode 4 Part 1 - Old Man Out (Parts 1 & 2): Briggs and his team have to engineer the escape of Cardinal Vossek (Cyril Delevanti), the 80 year old leader of his country?s freedom movement, who is being held in the impregnable Servano Prison. Fortunately for the IMF, the prison is close to a public park, and is also used to house petty criminals. They set up a circus in the park, with Dan as a mind reader, Cinnamon as his assistant, Willy is a strongman (right), Barney is a clown, guest agent Crystal Walker (Mary Ann Mobley) does a high-wire act, and Rollin is a rigger and pickpocket.

Episode 5 Part 2   

Episode 6 - Odds on Evil: Prince Iben Kostas (Nehemiah Persoff), absolute ruler of a small country whose sole income comes from a casino, intents to declare war on a neighbouring oil-rich nation. IMF?s job is to ensure that he does not use one and a half million dollars to buy weapons. Rollin and IMF agent Andre Malif (Nico Minardos) are gamblers, Cinnamon gets to know a prince, Barney designs a 90 lb portable computer, and Willy wears it under his tux. Dan sets the mission up, but doesn't take part in it.

Episode 7 - Wheels: Briggs leads the IMF into Valeria where they must ensure that the rigged election about to take place is "unfixed" and that the result truly reflects the vote of the people. Dan and Willy join the police, Barney gets shot, Rollin impersonates a book seller and Cinnamon
looks for a man. Mark Lenard plays Felipe Mora, seen here with Cinnamon and Capitain Trez (Percy Rodriguez). Mark Lenard is probably best known for playing Mr Spock?s father in Star Trek.

Episode 8 - The Ransom: In a departure from the usual format, the daughter of Briggs? friend George Forrester (Lin McCarthy, right) is held hostage to blackmail Dan into kidnapping Augie Gorman (Joe Mantell), a vital witness in the trial of mobster, Frank Egan (William Smithers).

Episode 9 - A Spool There Was: Rollin and Cinnamon are despatched to recover a vital reel of recording wire. However, finding the wire is only the first step, retrieving it and keeping it out of the hands of enemy agents is a completely different matter. Rollin becomes a dock worker and Cinnamon is a photographer; Barney and Willy do not appear.

Episode 10 - The Carriers: Barney, Cinnamon, Rollin and chemist Roger Lee (George Takei, right, who played Sulu in Star Trek), infiltrate a replica of an American town where foreign agents are being trained to behave like US citizens. They discover plans to infect the United States with plague, and must prevent this happening without the opposition discovering why their scheme has failed. Dan and Willy are police officers.

Episode 11 - Zubrovnik?s Ghost: A widowed American scientist Dr Martha Zubrovnik (Beatrice Straight), working in Austria, has come under the influence of a Communist medium, Sigismund Poljact (Donald Davis, right), who claims to be in contact with her dead husband. The IMF must stop Poljact taking her behind the Iron Curtain. Rollin and Barney, together with psychic consultant Ariana Domi (Martine Bartlett), pose as a psychic research team. Cinnamon and Willy do not appear.

Episode 12 - Fakeout: Briggs and his team must trick the head of a narcotics ring, Ted Carson, alias Anastas Poltroni (Lloyd Bridges, right in the blue blazer), into leaving his country to allow him to be extradited to America for trial. Cinnamon pretends to fall for Carson, Dan plays her jealous husband and Barney plants some heroin. Rollin and Willy do not appear.

Episode 13 - Elena: Rollin works against time to contact Elena Del Barra (Barbara Luna, right), an agent whose behaviour has become erratic. If he cannot find the reason for her behaviour and prove that she is not a danger, she will be killed. Apart from the opening scenes in which Dan appears, the only member of the regular IMF team to feature in this episode is Rollin.

Episode 14 - The Short Tail Spy: The Impossible Missions Force learns that there are two rival groups from a foreign power who wish to assassinate Professor Napolsky (Edward Colmans), who has defected to the West. The IMF must prevent this assassination and discredit the more dangerous of the groups and its chief assassin Andrei Fetyukov (Hans Gudegast). Cinnamon seduces Fetyukov (right). Rollin and Willy do not appear.
