The new AutoCAD 2008 offers many new features requested by user groups and end users. The 2008 version focuses primarily on 2d drafting improvements in the areas of annotation and layer management.
AutoCAD 2008 is now marked with the Windows Vista logo. It has been developed using Microsoft's VS.NET and takes advantage of Microsoft Vista's new technology such as Search, Thumbnail, and advanced security properties.
In addition the Microsoft has also integrated Autodesk's DWF technology into Vista and Microsoft Office 2007. This means that AutoCAD users using Vista will no longer need external plug-ins in order to distribute their DWF files.
